Our recently renovated Victorian townhouse exudes a feeling of space and easy living. Thoughtful touches and soft muted tones mixed with the natural elements of wood, slate, stone along with contemporary furnishings which combine with modern conveniences to create a relaxing and comfortable home-from-home.
The four spacious en-suite bedrooms will accommodate 8 people in comfort. The two top floor bedrooms and one of the first floor bedrooms have king size beds and the other first floor bedroom has two single beds. All are beautifully appointed with comfy furnishings and soft cotton bedding. The en-suites have a bath &/or powerful shower and can be gently warmed by underfloor heating.
The Living Spaces provide a feeling of peace. The kitchen is very well equipped with a range cooker, double oven, grill and wok burner, a microwave, toaster, coffee machine and fridge-freezer. The washing machine and a tumble dryer are located in the basement. A large basement room is a great extra space in which to watch a movie on the internet-enabled TV. The dining room has an authentic, rustic Victorian feel from the reclaimed-wood dining table, black & red tiled flooring, William Morris wallpaper to the original stone fireplace. The living room is spacious and light with high ceilings and a warm wood burning stove. For entertainment there is a Satellite TV, a midi hifi player, a selection of games and books as well as unlimited high speed WiFi.
Outside, there is a small enclosed courtyard perfect for alfresco dining on a sunny day.
The house is extremely peaceful and designed for easy living so whether you decide to stay nearby or head out and explore all that Derbyshire has to offer you will have a warm and comfortable home to return to.
In Detail
Bedrooms: 4 beautifully appointed bedrooms. All linen, towels, shower-wash and soap are provided.
Sleeps: up to 8 guests.
Bathrooms: All en-suite with an additional wet-room in the basement and wc on the landing.
Heating: Gas central heating augmented by electric underfloor heating in the kitchen and bathrooms. There is also a wood-burning stove in the lounge.
Mod Cons: Satellite and internet enabled TVs in the lounge and basement. Sonos connected sound systems in the dining room and kitchen.
Internet: Unlimited high-speed WiFi throughout.
Mobile: Reception is excellent across all networks.
Access: At ground floor level from the back, but as the property is spread over four floors with some stone stairs it is not considered suitable for the infirm.
Children: Are very welcome.
Pets: Are not permitted inside without prior agreement. An additional fee may be charged to cover extra cleaning.
No Smoking: For the comfort of all our guest, as well as for safety and insurance reasons we operate a strict no smoking policy in or anywhere on the property.
Duration: Minimum 4 nights.
Minimum age: Of lead guest is 25.
Arrival Time: After 4:00pm.
Departure Time: By 10:30am.
Rental Agreement: Will be prepared on booking which you will be asked to sign and return along with suitable proof of identity and address.
Security: We have exterior security cameras located at the front, the driveway and side entrances. The cameras are for security purposes only and do not capture audio or monitor any areas where guests have a reasonable expectation of privacy. Data is deleted in a few weeks if not required for security purposes.
